Kit "salva schiena" (BS):
La combinazione di un esoscheletro MATE con una piattaforma elevatrice permette all'operatore di lavorare nelle migliori condizioni ergonomiche durante la fase manuale di pallettizzazione senza avere problemi alla schiena sfruttando l'aiuto ottimizzato del MATE.
Il kit "salva schiena" (BS) permette di esaltare le performance dell'esoscheletro nell'alleviare il lavoro e le problematiche dei lavoratori in operazioni usuranti e ripetitive su linee senza una sufficiente produttività e con cambi di lotto molto frequenti, che non giustificano quindi l'inserimento di un robot in termini di ritorno dell'investimento. L'operatore con questo sistema lavora con un'altezza fissa ergonomica ottimale di 800 mm circa, in quanto non piega le ginocchia o la schiena nel pallettizzare/depallettizzare: è il pallet ad adeguarsi all'altezza di lavoro dell'operatore mantenendo l'altezza di prelievo/deposito costante. Una possibile opzione che viene integrata nell'esoscheletro permette il controllo remoto dell'elevatore.

MATE
is a new industrial exoskeleton from COMAU that substantially
augments its wearer and reduces the forces and torques on a wearer’s
lower back region (L5/S1 disc) by an average of 50% while the wearer
is lifting objects, bending or reaching.
MATE reduces the wearer's
effort and can also reduce the risk of back injuries among workers.
Designed for all-day wear, MATE never interferes natural movements
and the wearer can walk, ascend and descend stairs and ladders, move
around in the storage and perform
any operation with absolutely no restriction.

- Low Profile: Follows user's body to fit in tight spaces and changing environments.
- Comfortable: Good for all day use. Minimal inhibition of arm and torso range of motion.
- Quick Donning and Doffing: MATE can be put on and taken off in less than 30 seconds.
- Compatible: Works with safety harnesses, an optional tool belts and can be worn under reflective vests and work jackets (so it allows workers normal equipment to retain functionality). If requested, it comes with integrated remote commands.
- Adjustable Size: Fits a wide range of height, waist size, shoulder width, chest depth, and arm length (5%-95% of human dimensions). Two sizes SM and L-XL are available.
- Adjustable Support: Support force can be quickly changed by the user to accommodate different tasks, and fatigue level though the use of an Allen key.
- Optimized Support: Support force is optimized based on bending angle. Support force gradually increases as the user lifts his arms and becomes near zero when the arms are lowered, allowing the user to rest arms naturally or reach for tools on their tool belt.

"Back saver" (BS) kit:
The combination of a Mate exoskeleton with a lifting platform allows the operator to work in the best ergonomic conditions during the manual palletizing phase without back problems exploiting the optimized help of the Mate.
The BS "back saver" kit allows to exalt the performances of the exoskeleton in relieving the work and the worker's problems that arise from strenuous and repetitive operations on lines that lack productivity and with very frequent lot changes, that do not therefore justify the purchase of a robot in terms of return on investment. The operator with this system works at a fixed optimal ergonomic height of approximately 800 mm as he/she does not bend the knees or the back during the loading/unloading of the pallet: it is the pallet that adapts itself to the height of the operator working height, maintaining constant the load/unload height. A possible option, that can be integrated in the exoskeleton, allows to control the lifter.
