NEW FEFCO 0415 (simil American box ) carton erector + heavy packer- Simile scatola americana formatore velocità per prodotti pesanti

Siscodata ha realizzato un nuovo packer-cartoner OCTOPUS+ robotizzato per scatole simil Americane FEFCO 0415 da cartone fustellato piano per una nota compagnia Israeliana presente in tutto il mondo .

Il prodotto costituito da bombole di gas  anidride carbonica per la ristorazione  risulta particolarmente pesante ed instabile nella movimentazione con la tendenza a cadere sui trasportatori .

     Il sistema riceve da un lato pacchi di cartoni piani aperti direttamente dal pallet o dallo slipsheet le pile alte 70-80 cm ben allineate.La macchina preleva poi ad inizio ciclo  il singolo cartone e lo forma incollandolo su una testata Octopus (vedi altri post piu' vecchi) sempre di produzione Siscodata.

Nel frattempo le bombole vanno in accumulo su un buffer a serpentina dove vengono preparate in matrice per l'introduzione nella scatola ,che nella stazione seguente è poi chiusa come patelle e successivamente riceve 2 reggiature  trasversali  come sigillo .





Siscodata has produced a new OCTOPUS+ robotic packer-cartoner for American-style FEFCO 0415 boxes from flat die-cut cardboard for a well-known Israeli company with a worldwide presence .

The product consisting of carbon dioxide gas cylinders for catering is particularly heavy and unstable in handling with a tendency to fall on conveyors .

     The system receives on one side packs of flat open cartons directly from the pallet or slipsheet i stacks 70-80 cm high well aligned.The machine then picks up at the beginning of the cycle the single carton and forms it by gluing it on an Octopus header (see our older posts) also manufactured by Siscodata.

Meanwhile, the canisters go into accumulation on a serpentine buffer where they are prepared in matrix for introduction into the box ,which at the following station is then closed as flaps and subsequently receives 2 cross straps as a seal .

INTERPACK 2017 (Hall 15, booth B55)

Siscodata this year will cooperate with SIAT S.p.A. (Group M.J. Maillis) into Interpack 2017 fair, the world’s leading trade fair that takes place in Düsseldorf.
Siscodata here presents a new product SIS316 robotic packaging module filler developed in collaboration with SIAT S.p.A.
The unit fill up the empty space in the Maillis SIAT range of machines between the new carton erector and the top sealer. After have been formed, the box arrives to Siscodata filler module in which the Comau Racer 7 starts the filling with 2 layer of "brutti & buoni" ("ugly and good") special biscuits pack. Once the box is completely filled, then it goes to the SIAT sealer machine.
The SIS316 filler module can handle different type of materials at a speed up to 85 ppm depending on matrix/array size depositing also layer over layer with paper-carton separator interlayer. In the show the application will run with a 6 axis Comau Racer but could be realized also with the new scara Comau Rebel.
Special attention has been put in reducing the footprint of the whole system (carton former + filler + sealer) that is about 5mt x 2.5 mt.
The robot lifting payload is, in this case, 7 kg max. but Comau has a wide range of lifting payload robots (i.e. 3 kg to 40 kg and more) that allow to handle products of different weight. In addition, the robots can have different gripper system such as with vacuum or with mechanical fin fish fingers. Special attention has been put in the development of food product handling system from salami slice to pasta and bakery.
Of course, after the sealing, the closed box can be palletizing with robot.

FILLING AND ERECTING SUPERMARKET _RETAILS EXPOSITOR - DISPLAY A NEW ROBOTIZED APPLICATION FOR THE SUPPLY/RETAIL CHAIN



This presentation of the new solution for the supply chain  and retail logistic is divided in 2 parts .The first part present the creation of the expositor /display from a silos of 100 carton and from 2 additional vertical silos :one for the wooden pallet  600 x400 mm and one silos for the carton pallet basement .


          The solution it is splitted in two parts .
The first area provides  for erecting big expositor display for the supply chain and retails or tray display capable of overlapping . The erecting  area is working from  flat carton picked up from silos  to create trays or retails display of minipallet size (400 x 600 mm).

A robot of medium size is dedicated to this activity and works in cooperation with some assyst devices to close and glue the bottom flaps with hot melt,open and fold  the frontal part  and finally  fix with glue the wood mini-pallet picked from silos to the bottom .

The activity is monitored by a mutifunction program that tracks all the process on a log.
 Changing automatically the gripper tool the robot can follow a different job for example erect from a flat carton a tray -plateau (see picture).



The system it is able to erect carton trays that can be filled and ovelapped in the second part of the system in a full automatic mode .
Starting from a silos full of hundreds of flat pre-cut carton the robot procedes to applies in the rights points the hot melt glue and later to form in a tunable stamp the tray .
The stamp it is automated and tunable to permit different sizes and shapes .
Once the tray it is formed the robot  takes out the tear off part of the tray to allow a better overlapping locking in the hole 


Questa presentazione della nuova soluzione per la supply chain e logistica al dettaglio è diviso in 2 parti .La prima parte presenta la creazione del espositore / display da un silos di 100 cartone e da 2 silos verticali aggiuntivi: uno per il pallet di legno 600 x400 mm e uno silos per il seminterrato cartone pallet.
La soluzione è divisa in due parti.La prima area prevede di erigere display e grandi espositori per la GDO grande distribuzione e le vendite al dettaglio o la visualizzazione vassoio in grado di sovrapposizione. L'area di erezione sta lavorando da cartone piatto prelevato da silos a creare vassoi o vendite al dettaglio di visualizzazione di dimensioni minipallet (400 x 600 mm).

Un robot di medie dimensioni è dedicato a questa attività e lavora in collaborazione con alcuni dispositivi assyst per chiudere e incollare le falde inferiori con colla a caldo, aprire e ripiegare la parte frontale e, infine, fissarlo con la colla al legno del mini-pallet prelevato dal silos al fondo .
L'attività è monitorata da un programma che tiene traccia mutifunction tutto il porcesso su un log.il robot cambia la pinza automaticamente in funzione dell' attivita' svolta e quindi puo' eseguire un lavoro diverso, ad esempio erigere da un cartone piatto un vassoio -plateau (vedi foto).Il sistema è in grado di erigere vassoi di cartone che possono essere riempiti e sovrapposti  nella seconda parte del sistema in modo completamente automatico.

Partendo da un silos pieno di centinaia di cartoni  pre-tagliati il robot  procede ad applicare nei punti di corretti la colla a caldo e poi a formare in uno stampo aggiustabile il vassoio.
Lo stampo è automatizzato e regolabile per consentire diverse dimensioni e forme.
Una volta che il vassoio si forma il robot toglie in automatico le parti a  strappo  del vassoio per consentire un migliore bloccaggio di sovrapposizione nel foro così creato .

MULTIPLE BOX SIZES CARTON ERECTOR - LCE Soluzione automatica per creazione in linea di differenti tipi di scatole da una sola formatrice

Siscodata has furthly evoluted and reduced in dimension too his automatic robotic machine able to create up to 5 sizes of carton. The first system of this type was presented in the FAST fair in Verona (Italy) in the 2001 and from that time many improvement and application has been installed and still working. Systems with 2 or 3 sizes of box erected at the same time have been installed at the beginning of 2000's years and are still working in Zucchi-Bassetti Textile and MGM electrical motor manufacturer (see below Zucchi-Bassetti 2005 plant).
During these years Siscodata has constantly improved its LCE (Large Case Erector) system  in production by year 2000, increasing the speed and the performance and reducing the area space.

Now a new fully updated system has been created in a smaller space (from 2 x 2.8 meter), with capacity up to 5 box/minute and the capacity to work a full pallet of stacked carton boxes without stop also meanwhile loading more cartons.

A special device has been added to let the robot that it runs also  while the operator is reloading  the cartons with the door opened.Thank to this the operation is done  in full safety (CE rules) leaving the robot arm working.

More of 1 meter stacked carton can be loaded into the silos  so the operation it is unfrequent too.
Another future  of the new system it is that can oprate also on very large size of cartons  like in use for example on the new Plasma or LED TV set of 40 " or more .


The total max width+lenght of the box can be 1.200L x 350 W mm or combination of the 2 dimensions L+W up a total of 1550 mm.
As said the area for 1 only size is about 2000 x 2.800 mm with a minimum ceiling of 3.5 mt approximately.

The robot used into the area  is a new generation series COMAU (group FIAT CHRYSLER car) high speed 6 axis but can be also an ABB robot




An LCA-5 size area ,as shown here at left ,can supply with different LOGOs or different sizes many lines of production  with the different size or type (can be different Logo) and distribute to the production line in an intelligent way .

The line receives from the PLC supervisor of the line the request to produce on carton for that line as the accumulaion buffer of empty boxes goes under minimum quantity anomalies.The signals can be sent  through 5 clean contact sor by ethernet connection.
