Presso lo stand N55, Padiglione 5, salone Motek, dedicato alla manipolazione, all'assemblaggio e all'automazione di fabbrica, è stato presentato ufficialmente, per la prima volta in Italia, il nuovo esoscheletro indossabile MATE (Muscular Aiding Tech Exoskeleton), progettato per migliorare la qualità del lavoro in modo efficiente e altamente ergonomico, fornendo un’assistenza costante e avanzata al movimento delle braccia dell’operatore durante l’esecuzione di operazioni ripetitive durante il turno di lavoro. L’esoscheletro MATE si basa su un’avanzata struttura passiva che assicura un supporto posturale leggero, traspirante ed estremamente efficace, senza bisogno di impiegare batterie o motori elettrici.

Comau e Siscodata hanno  mostrato anche la nuova versione con batterie al litio del veicolo a guida autonoma AGILE1500, che era in funzione all'interno di un magazzino automatico asservito da un robot di pallettizzazione. Le nuove batterie al litio permettono la funzione di ricarica parziale durante il ciclo di lavoro, consentendo all’AGV di lavorare ininterrottamente su tre turni di lavoro. AGILE1500 è concepito per funzionare in modo sicuro vicino agli operatori, sfruttando la tecnologia di navigazione “naturale” per collegare le diverse stazioni del ciclo produttivo, garantendo  il massimo della flessibilità e dell’autonomia.

Nella cella proposta sullo stand Comau in collaborazione con il Partner Siscodata è stata presentata la funzione di movimentazione materiali tramite un robot PAL-180-3.1, asservito a un AGILE1500, con il nuovo tipo di batteria al litio e portata da 1.500 kg su europallet, assieme a un’unità di sollevamento e deposito pallet personalizzata, prodotta da Siscodata. Nella stessa applicazione è stata dimostrata la funzionalità in ambiente industriale del nuovo esoscheletro MATE, indossato da un operatore in combinazione con due accessori per il MATE di produzione Siscodata – Back saver e ID Glove – per il prelievo da un magazzino, con successiva palettizzazione e depallettizzazione automatizzata, associata alla possibile distribuzione di cassette in plastica con pezzi da assemblare alle varie stazioni e aree di lavoro tramite AGILE1500.

N55, Hall 5, Motek hall, dedicated to the handling, assembly and automation of factory, the new wearable exoskeleton MATE was officially presented for the first time in Italy (Muscular aiding tech exoskeleton), designed to improve the quality of work efficiently and highly ergonomic, providing constant and advanced assistance to the movement of the operator's arms during execution of repetitive operations during the work shift. 

The MATE exoskeleton is based on an advanced passive structure that ensures a light, breathable and extremely effective postural support,without the need to use batteries or electric engines.

Comau also showed the new version with lithium batteries of the self-driving vehicle AGILE1500, which was in function inside an automatic warehouse served by a palletizing robot. The new lithium batteries allow the partial recharge function during the work cycle, allowing the AGV to work uninterruptedly on three work shifts. AGILE1500 is designed to work safely near operators, exploiting the "natural" navigation technology to connect the different stations of the production cycle, guaranteeing maximum flexibility and autonomy.

The function was presented in the cell proposed on the Comau stand in collaboration with his Siscodata Partner material handling through a PAL-180-3.1 robot, controlled by an AGILE1500, with the new type of battery lithium and 1,500 kg capacity on europallet, together with a customized lifting unit and pallet storage produced by Siscodata. In the same application the functionality in the industrial environment of the new MATE exoskeleton,worn by an operator in combination with two accessories for production MATE Siscodata - Back saver and ID Glove - for picking up from a warehouse, with subsequent palletization of plastic boxes with pieces to be assembled at the various stations and automated depalletization, associated with possible distribution and work areas via AGILE1500.

Esoscheletro MATE di Comau - MATE exoskeleton by Comau

MATE è un nuovo esoscheletro industriale di COMAU che sostanzialmente aumenta le capacità fisiche di chi lo indossa e contemporaneamente riduce lo stress fisico e i movimenti torcenti della parte lombare della schiena (in particolare sul disco L5/S1) in media del 50% nel soggetto che lo indossa mentre solleva oggetti, si curva o si allunga. 
Il MATE riduce lo sforzo di chi lo indossa e può ridurre il rischio di lesioni della schiena tra i lavoratori. Progettato per essere indossato per tutto il giorno, il MATE non interferisce con i movimenti naturali e chi lo indossa può camminare, salire e scendere le scale, muoversi in magazzino ed eseguire tutte le operazioni quotidiane senza alcun tipo di restrizione.

Caratteristiche:

• Riduzione dello sforzo sulla schiena: riduce la compressione sulla spina dorsale all'altezza del disco L5/S1 in media del 50%. In pratica è come se si evitasse di movimentare e sollevare 2 pallet da 1000 bottiglie d'acqua da 1 litro.
• Nessuna interferenza nei movimenti: chi indossa il MATE può camminare, salire e scendere le scale, muoversi in magazzino ed eseguire tutte le operazioni senza alcun tipo di restrizione
• Rigido: progettato per resistere a ambienti industriali, il MATE è a prova di polvere e non necessita di continua manutenzione.
• Nessuna batteria necessaria: abilmente progettato per ridurre i rischi di infortuni alla schiena, alle spalle e alle braccia, non ha bisogno di batterie, di attuatori o di computer.
• Profilo basso: segue il corpo di chi lo indossa in spazi stretti e in ambienti che variano.
• Comodo: può essere indossato tutto il giorno. Minima inibizione nel raggio di movimento delle braccia e del busto.
• Veloce da indossare e da togliere: il MATE può essere indossato e tolto in meno di 30 secondi.
• Compatibile: funziona con un'imbragatura di sicurezza, un'eventuale cintura per gli attrezzi e può essere indossato sotto indumenti catarifrangenti e giacconi da lavoro (così da permettere all'equipaggiamento lavorativo di funzionare normalmente). Dispone a richiesta di comandi remoti integrati come opzione.
• Taglia adattabile: si adatta a una vasta gamma di altezze, circonferenze vita, larghezza delle spalle, profondità del torace e lunghezza delle braccia (5%-95% delle misure umane), tramite 2 taglie SM e L-XL. 
• Supporto adattabile: la forza di supporto può essere velocemente cambiata da chi lo usa al variare dei diversi lavori e del livello di fatica tramite una semplice chiave a brugola. 
• Supporto ottimizzato: la forza di supporto è ottimizzata secondo l'angolo di inclinatura. Essa cresce quando l'operatore che indossa l'esoscheletro alza le braccia mentre si avvicina allo zero quando le braccia si abbassano. Tutto ciò permette a chi lo indossa di abbassare le braccia normalmente o di prendere gli attrezzi dalla cintura.
• Distribuzione del peso: il MATE trasferisce la forza dalle braccia alle anche ai fianchi e alla zona lombare costringendo l'operatore a posizioni e movimenti più ergonomici. 
• Profilo Antropometrico: segue il corpo di chi lo indossa in modo di inserirsi in spazi stretti e cambiamenti di ambiente.
• Leggero: Il MATE pesa meno di 4 kg.

Uno studio medico dimostra i vantaggi dell'esoscheletro. 

Lo spazio subacromiale si riduce con l'età ed è subordinato a cambiamenti posturali, l'esoscheletro aiuta persone predisposte per queste patologie a evitarle o ritardarle.

Kit "salva schiena" (BS):

La combinazione di un esoscheletro MATE con una piattaforma elevatrice permette all'operatore di lavorare nelle migliori condizioni ergonomiche durante la fase manuale di pallettizzazione senza avere problemi alla schiena sfruttando l'aiuto ottimizzato del MATE.

Il kit "salva schiena" (BS) permette di esaltare le performance dell'esoscheletro nell'alleviare il lavoro e le problematiche dei lavoratori in operazioni usuranti e ripetitive su linee senza una sufficiente produttività e con cambi di lotto molto frequenti, che non giustificano quindi l'inserimento di un robot in termini di ritorno dell'investimento. L'operatore con questo sistema lavora con un'altezza fissa ergonomica ottimale di 800 mm circa, in quanto non piega le ginocchia o la schiena nel pallettizzare/depallettizzare: è il pallet ad adeguarsi all'altezza di lavoro dell'operatore mantenendo l'altezza di prelievo/deposito costante. Una possibile opzione che viene integrata nell'esoscheletro permette il controllo remoto dell'elevatore.

MATE is a new industrial exoskeleton from COMAU that substantially augments its wearer and reduces the forces and torques on a wearer’s lower back region (L5/S1 disc) by an average of 50% while the wearer is lifting objects, bending or reaching. 

MATE reduces the wearer's effort and can also reduce the risk of back injuries among workers. Designed for all-day wear, MATE never interferes natural movements and the wearer can walk, ascend and descend stairs and ladders, move around in the storage and perform any operation with absolutely no restriction.

"Back saver" (BS) kit:

The combination of a Mate exoskeleton with a lifting platform allows the operator to work in the best ergonomic conditions during the manual palletizing phase without back problems exploiting the optimized help of the Mate.

The BS "back saver" kit allows to exalt the performances of the exoskeleton in relieving the work and the worker's problems that arise from strenuous and repetitive operations on lines that lack productivity and with very frequent lot changes, that do not therefore justify the purchase of a robot in terms of return on investment. The operator with this system works at a fixed optimal ergonomic height of approximately 800 mm as he/she does not bend the knees or the back during the loading/unloading of the pallet: it is the pallet that adapts itself to the height of the operator working height, maintaining constant the load/unload height. A possible option, that can be integrated in the exoskeleton, allows to control the lifter.
